PLYMOUTH – The presidents of Cape Cod Community College and Massasoit Community College have signed a special articulation agreement for the new aviation maintenance technology program at Plymouth Regional Airport.
Dr. John Cox and Dr. Charles Wall signed the agreement on Friday morning in a ceremony at the airport in front of a Cape Air plane that was donated to the program.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to provide both our students at Cape Cod and Massasoit a pathway into a very strong and powerful career,” said Cox.
The agreement will permit students at Massasoit to take the required courses at their home campuses and then transfer to the 4C’s program, earning both FAA certification and the Associate of Applied Science Degree.
“It’s a real win-win for the colleges but more importantly for the people in Southeastern Massachusetts,” said Wall.
A similar agreement was recently signed between 4C’s and Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.
The program is one of only six in the country with the training model.
