CHATHAM – Cape Cod was full of visitors over the holiday weekend including white sharks.

According to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, a previously tagged shark, Myra, returned to the waters off the Cape.

It was the 9th tagged shark to return.

Earlier in the week researchers tagged the first shark of the 2017 season, a 13-footer off North Beach Island in Chatham.

The conservancy is in the fourth year of a five-year white shark population study.
