Alleged Shoplifters Arrested for Possessing Stolen Car in Wareham

WAREHAM – Two Hyannis men were arrested yesterday afternoon in Wareham for being in possession of a stolen car.

Police were called to Target after reports of alleged shoplifters going back and forth between the store and a vehicle in the parking lot. Police discovered the car was stolen from Hyannis and arrested 21-year-old Geoffrey Curran and 43-year-old Michael James.

The two men were scheduled for arraignment today in Wareham District Court on charges of receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

An investigation into the theft of $2,000 worth of merchandise from the store is ongoing.
