Applications Being Accepted for Habitat Homes in Truro, Brewster

YARMOUTH PORT – Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod is accepting applications for homes being built in Truro and Brewster.

Families must be income eligible with a maximum of 65 percent of area median income and willing to commit many hours of sweat equity towards building the home.

Three homes, which are one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, will be constructed at 143 Route 6 in Truro.

Six more homes will go up in Brewster on Paul Hush Way off Tubman Road. Those are two-, three- and four-bedroom homes.

The deadline to submit an application to the Habitat office is March 21.

Applicants are encouraged to attend one of several upcoming workshops for prospective buyers.

Workshops at the Truro Library will be held Saturday from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and February 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The Brewster Library will hold workshops on February 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and March 4 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The Habitat for Humanity office in Yarmouth Port will hold four information workshops. They are Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m., February 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m., February 22 from noon to 1:30 p.m. and March 10 from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Applications can be found at Truro Town Hall, the Truro Library, the Brewster Library, Brewster Town Hall, the Habitat office in Yarmouth Port or www.habitatcapecod.org.
