Atlantic Subaru Donates $27,000 to MSPCA-Cape Cod

BOURNE – MSPCA-Cape Cod has received a donation of nearly $27,000 from Atlantic Subaru in Bourne, to protect and bring relief to animals in need in the community.

The donation from the dealership is one of the largest single donations MSPCA-Cape Cod has ever received.

A check was presented to MSPCA-Cape Cod Director Mary Sarah Fairweather by Atlantic Subaru during a ceremony at the dealership on Friday morning.

During the annual “Share the Love” event, the car company donates $250 for every new vehicle sold or leased to a host of charitable partners.

“It will go towards our operating expenses which are very, very high and it allows us to continue sheltering our animals and also providing critical resources and programs to our community for pet owners on Cape Cod,” said Fairweather.

In addition, each Subaru retailer selects a hometown charity from their community to support, adding more than 660 local causes to the “Share the Love” campaign.

“It’s for a good cause and our customers are really into it, we’re into it and our employees were into it,” said Atlantic Subaru President Levon Semerjian.

Over the last nine years, Subaru of America, Inc. has donated more than $94 million to national and local charities across the U.S.
