Two Sandwich Men Charged in Marstons Mills Bank Robbery

MARSTONS MILLS  – Two Sandwich men were arrested and were in Barnstable District Court today to face charges of armed robbery while masked for allegedly robbing the Marstons Mills branch of Eastern Bank yesterday afternoon.

Barnstable Police was notified the bank had been robbed at 4 p.m. yesterday and were joined by Sandwich detectives who were investigating a similar robbery on October 3.

The investigation led police to identify Brendan Millham, 22, as a suspect as he was allegedly in the bank several hours earlier acting suspiciously and left in a black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

Police began surveillance on Millham’s truck at a residence on route 130 in Sandwich.

Millham was followed to the CVS parking lot on Route 6A in Sandwich where detectives said they witnessed the suspect injecting heroin while in the truck and was arrested by Sandwich police for heroin possession.

Police then said they discovered Millham was in possession of a large amount of money that was determined to be from the Eastern Bank.

Detectives again set up surveillance of the Route 130 home and watched as Kyle Marrs, 23, returned to his apartment.

Police said Marrs willingly returned to the Barnstable Police Station and was found to be in possession of money from the Eastern Bank.

According to Police, Marrs confessed to his involvement in the robbery.

A search warrant was executed at the apartment and the mask, clothing and a loaded Glock 17 handgun allegedly used in the Eastern Bank robbery were recovered.

Barnstable Police and Sandwich detectives interviewed Millham and said he confessed to being the masked robber.

Millham was charged with Armed Robbery While Masked, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession of a Class A Substance, Heroin.

Marrs was charged with Armed Robbery While Masked.

Both Men were arrainged today in Barnstable District Court and held on $50,000 bail.

Kyle Marrs, 23, is believed to be the getaway driver.

Both men are being held on $50,000 cash bail.
