By ROB WOODARD

BARNSTABLE – The Town of Barnstable is in the process of collecting recollections from some of the town’s longtime residents as part of a project celebrating the town’s 375th anniversary.

Len Gobeil, Special Projects Coordinator for the Town of Barnstable, said he is finding a common theme when he does the interviews, almost all lament the loss of town meeting.

Gobeil said that although the input of younger residents is important, right now, he is searching for older participants for the oral histories.

The oral histories are running throughout the day on the town’s cable channel 18 and can also be found online, contact Len Gobiel at town hall if you’d like to help.
