BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable Licensing Authority on Monday postponed any discussion on the possibility of issuing seasonal package store licenses, citing a need for more information on the matter.

At the meeting, Chairman Martin Hoxie said before moving forward, they would need to conduct a summer population study. Hoxie said that report would need to provide “an estimate based upon an investigation and deliberation and cooperation and discussion concerning any such licenses.”

In order to allow the seasonal licenses next year, Hoxie said the study would have to be completed by March 1 of 2018.

There were two interested unidentified parties for the seasonal licenses. Their applications were tabled for further discussion.
