BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable Police arrested two men Monday for numerous commercial and vehicle breaking and entering charges.

Marcus Anding, 20, and Dajion Walters, 22, were arrested after fingerprint evidence from an August 20 arrest allegedly tied the two men to a handful of unsolved breaking and entering offenses.

The Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Unit began comparing fingerprints they had obtained from multiple crime scenes and investigated with Barnstable detectives.

Police said the fingerprints obtained from their August 20 arrests for allegedly breaking into the Paddock Restaurant in Hyannis were tied to similar crimes at The Compound Bar and Grille, The  Beachtree Cantina, Dragon Lite Restaurant, Land Rover of Cape Cod and a residence on Baxter Road in Hyannis.

Anding is also alleged to have broken into three motor vehicles in the Cape Cod Mall parking lot.

Anding was charged with four counts of breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, three counts of larceny in a building, four counts of injury to real or personal property, two counts of injury to a depository, and three counts of breaking and entering, motor vehicle.

Walters was charged with five counts of breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, four counts of larceny in a building, five counts of injury to real or personal property, and two counts of injury to a depository.

Both suspects were arraigned Tuesday in Barnstable District Court.

Anding was held on $5,000 cash bail and Walters was released on $1,000 cash bail.
