BARNSTABLE – The Town of Barnstable will hold a public hearing Wednesday as they begin the process to award thousands of dollars in federal grant funding.

There is more than $274,000 available for this year’s Community Development Block Grant program and officials are looking for public input on the town’s housing and community development needs. The town is working on the Annual Action Plan for the funding, which determines how much money is allocated for some programs.

The meeting is scheduled for at 3 p.m. at Barnstable Town Hall.

The Community Development Block Grant program is supported by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
