CENTERVILLE – With less than a week to go before he is sworn in, 2nd Barnstable State Representative-Elect Will Crocker is getting ready for his new role.
Crocker recently attended the New Legislators Academy with fellow freshman lawmakers at The University of Massachusetts Amherst where he learned about the procedures followed in the House of Representatives.
Erin Buckley was also hired by Crocker to be a legislative aide.
Buckley is a recent graduate of Salem State University and interned at the State Office of Administration and Finance.
Since the election, Crocker has met with State Representative Brian Mannal and a number of community leaders during the transition in preparation for taking office.
Crocker will be sworn in on Wednesday.
“I look forward to the swearing in on Wednesday and I can’t wait to officially get started,” said Crocker.
He takes over the seat from Mannal who did not seek re-election.
