Beekeeping Class to Begin in Brewster

BREWSTER – A millennia-old tradition will be taught in Brewster for four weeks beginning Tuesday.

A beekeeping course will take place Tuesday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on Route 6A until February 28^th.

The course will cover required hardware, biology of the honeybee, beekeeping tasks throughout the seasons, honey harvesting and hive health.

It will be co-taught by George Muhlebach, who has over 30 years’ experience, as well as Nancy Hipp, a field guide and bee docent volunteer.

The cost to register is $60, but those who volunteer to assist with 4 summer hive openings during the upcoming season will receive a $25 rebate.
