HYANNIS – Students and staff members from all of the Catholic Schools of the Cape Cod region of the Fall River Diocese will gather together for a Cape Cod Deanery Catholic Schools Mass with Bishop Edgar M. da Cunha at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 8, in St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis.
Bishop da Cunha became the new spiritual leader of the Fall River Diocese on September 24.
The Diocese includes all of Cape Cod and the Islands along with the rest of Southeastern Massachusetts.
Monday’s Mass will be mark his first visit with members of the Cape Catholic school communities.
Participating schools will be St. Margaret School, Buzzards Bay; St. Pius X School, South Yarmouth; and Pope John Paul II High School and St. Francis Xavier Preparatory School, Hyannis.
Over the next two months Bishop da Cunha will celebrate regional Catholic Schools Masses in the other areas of the Diocese as well.
