COTUIT – A box truck went off the road and crashed into a utility pole near 866 Newtown Road in Cotuit Sunday around 1:30 p.m., according to Barnstable Police.
Newtown Road was shut down from Wakeby Road to Chippingstone Road so NStar crews could erect a new pole.
Even though Barnstable Police expect the road to reopen tonight. There were no injuries but some residents lost power.
Motorists are advised to use caution.
An investigation is ongoing.
