BREWSTER – Brewster firefighters say they spent about an hour early this morning knocking down a chimney fire and cleaning up the scene at a home on Red Fawn Road.
Fire crews were called to the home around 2 a.m. and noticed flames shooting from the chimney.
After the occupants of the home were evacuated, firefighters climbed a ladder to attack the blaze, which they say they were able to knock down quickly.
There were no injuries and there was no structural damage to the home.
