Cape Card RTA Announces CCCC Express Run

HYANNIS – Looking to get Cape Cod Community College students to early classes on time, the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority recently initiated an express route.

The service departs the Hyannis Transportation Center at 8:30 a.m. and arrives on campus 15 minutes later, leaving students plenty of time to get to their 9:00 a.m. classes.

Cape Cod RTA routinely examines its routes to try and increase efficiency, and it was determined that the express route was feasible, and so far has been a success.

“We’ve monitored the first few weeks and we’ve had good ridership,” said Tom Cahir, Cape Cod RTA Administrator. “It seems to be working well so I’m pleased that we continue this partnership with the school.”

Cape Cod RTA offers discounted rates for students, and because of the success, the service will continue to run on a year-round basis.
