HYANNIS – The President and CEO of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank will be the 2017 Commencement Speaker at the May 25th celebration of Cape Cod Community College.
Dorothy Savarese will give the commencement address at the event at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis.
Savarese currently serves as the Chairman of the American Bankers Association and is completing her term as Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Cape Cod Community College.
She started as a commercial lending officer at Cape Cod Five in 1993, was named Chief Operating Officer in 2004 and President and CEO in 2005.
Last year, Savarese was named one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking by American Banker Magazine, for the fifth consecutive year.
“We are all extremely pleased that Ms. Savarese will speak to the College community at this milestone in the lives of students,” said College President John Cox. “While deeply connected to this region, her national position has brought her a very informed perspective on the road ahead for our graduates. We look forward to her Commencement address.”
