HYANNIS – Local shoppers looking to get the best deals on Black Friday at the Cape Cod Mall will likely be spending Thanksgiving night in lines.
Cape Cod Mall Manager Adra Cohen said the mall opens at 12:30 a.m. on Black Friday and lines are expected to form outside of the mall’s major retailers.
“We do have lines at certain key retailers. Best Buy draws quite a crowd. A lot of our department stores have early bird specials and door busters,” she said.
While some shoppers come in the middle of the night, others wait until the next morning to head to the mall, she said.
“We see the initial rush at 12:30 a.m. and then we have kind a second wave of shoppers. The folks that didn’t necessarily get out super early but still want to take advantage of the sales of the day,” Cohen said.
She said mall retailers will be offering sales all weekend.
“Deals can be found in literally every category, so electronics, apparel, and accessories, jewelry, footware, sporting goods. You name a category and there’s a great deal to be had,” she said.
