BREWSTER – The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History’s Nature Place summer program instills a sense of wonder and discovery to last a lifetime.
KidSummer offers a range of programs for ages 3 to 15, encouraging learning and appreciation of the environment through age-appropriate, STEM based curriculum and indoor/outdoor activities led by educators/naturalists.
Those interested in staff positions must be 16 years old or older and they must be available June 19-August 11.
The pay scale is $11-15 per hour and applications will be accepted until March 30.
The KidSummer nature program is sponsored by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), which is headquartered on Cape Cod and rescues and protects animals around the world.
The nature walks, field study and habitat exploration give children a unique Cape Cod summer experience.
The museum campus is surrounded by 400 acres of marsh, dune, barrier beach, woodlands, alewife stream, and wildflower gardens.
The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy will also offer two sessions of the Shark Week KidSummer Program.
The one week day program will introduce youth to shark biology through hands-on activities, outdoor experiences, and traditional shark camp games.
The second session will include new and more advanced activities for any returning shark biologists, as well as older first timers.
