CC_National_Seashore_Fort_Hill_Area_001EASTHAM – The Cape Cod National Seashore is hosting an evening program called “Earth Celebrations” on July 28 at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham.

Acclaimed storyteller Rona Leventhal will have participants dancing, swaying in their seats, making funny noises, singing and laughing as she shares stories from silly to serious and mysterious to monstrous.

Leventhal is an international storyteller who has put smiles on the faces of thousands of listeners for the past 25 years with her exuberant and dramatic storytelling style.

When she tells a story, many interesting characters inhabit the story landscape.

Leventhal is also an environmental educator and has worked as an interpretive ranger at the Seashore.

In addition to performing, Leventhal works with K-12 students, teachers, individuals and organizations and produces the Summer Storytelling Institute.

She is co-editor of the award winning book, “Spinning Tales, Weaving Hope: Stories for Peace, Justice and the Environment”.

The program is part of the annual “Tuesday Evening Series” at the Visitor Center, which is held weekly at 7 p.m.
