Cape Cod National Seashore Ready for Another Summer Season

EASTHAM – While dealing with the multitude of repairs, and the closure of Marconi Beach in the wake of a harsh Cape Cod winter, the Cape Cod National Seashore is now ready for another summer season.

The repair contract at Marconi Beach was recently completed, and the beach was reopened in mid-June.

While the Seashore deals with repairs during the offseason, there have also been some upgrades, including a new outdoor amphitheater at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham.

“Many people have seen the Salt Pond Visitor Center amphitheater going under construction since last year,” said Kathy Tevyaw, CC National Seashore Acting Superintendent. “We’re actually opening that up this summer and we’ll have some outdoor programs and concerts there, so that’s kind of an exciting addition for us.”
