WEST BARNSTABLE – Student musicians from the Cape Conservatory will perform at Governor-elect Charlie Baker’s “Let’s Be Great” inaugural celebration this Thursday, January 8.

The Conservatory’s “CJazz” ensemble features high school and middle school musicians from across the Cape. The group will perform jazz standards at the inaugural celebration on Thursday evening at the Boston Convention Center.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for our CJazz students to showcase their hard work and dedication to America’s classical music. We’re proud to have been selected to perform on such a grand stage. I’m sure the students will never forget this experience,” said Stephanie Weaver, Managing Director of the Cape Conservatory.

The CJazz Ensemble includes Maurice Soque (sax) and Alex Lanoue (drums) from Falmouth High School; Bryden Williams (sax) and Kenny Linnell (bass) from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School; and Keb Hutchings-McMahon (guitar) from Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School.
