Cape Environment Organization Urges Public to Comment on Monument Review

DENNIS – The Association to Preserve Cape Cod is urging residents to submit public comments to the Department of the Interior to protect the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine Monument designation.

The monument, created by President Obama last fall, is under review by the Trump Administration.

The monument is located about 150 miles off Cape Cod and covers over 4,000 square miles of marine ecosystems, underwater mountains and trenches.

The deadline to submit public comment is July 10.
