Cape Cod Police Departments Take Part in 5th Annual Back-to-School Shop with a Cop Event

HYANNIS – Police from across Cape Cod gathered with students to have pizza and go back to school shopping on Wednesday.

After the children had pizza with officers at Yarmouth Police Headquarters, they went to Old Navy in Hyannis to go shopping for new clothes for the new school year.

The students were selected from schools throughout Cape Cod, and in addition to the new clothing, they received a back pack filled with school supplies.

“It’s just good positive, good work for the resource officers and our police departments,” said Barnstable Police School Resource Officer Reed Hall. “I am very fortunate to be a part of this.”

The 5th annual event was funded by donations to the Yarmouth Police Relief Association.

“Some of these kids, there is difficulty making ends meet on the back to school end, and we’re happy to help out with that,” said Yarmouth Police School Resource Officer Nick Pasquarosa.
