Republicans are gathering at the Irish Village in Yarmouth at 4:30 p.m., while Democrats will hold their rally at their Main Street Hyannis headquarters at 5 p.m.

All candidates from both parties are expected to attend the rallies.

The Democrats say their headlining speakers will be Congressman William Keating, who is running for re-election, and Cape and Islands State Senator Dan Wolf, who is retiring after three terms on Beacon Hill.

There are a number of contested races on Cape Cod. Democrat Julian Cyr and Republican Anthony Schiavi are running to replace Wolf in the State Senate. Will Crocker, a Republican, is running against Democrat Aaron Kanzer to replace Brian Mannal as the representative in the 2nd Barnstable District. Incumbent 3rd Barnstable State Rep. David Vieira of Falmouth is being challenged by Democrat Matt Patrick. There are two candidates for the opening seat in the Barnstable, Dukes, Nantucket District, Democrat Dylan Fernandes and independent Tobias Glidden. Congressman Keating is being challenged by Republican Mark Alliegro.

Election Day is Tuesday.

Today marks the final day of early voting in Massachusetts.
