CARE For Cape and Islands Grants Day to Encourage Volunteers

YARMOUTH PORT – Six recipients were selected for the 2017 project applications that fit within five funding themes from CARE for the Cape and Islands.

The Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance, Cape Cool, Center for Coastal Studies, Coonamessett Farm Foundation, Maria Mitchell Association and Provincetown Recycling and Renewable Energy Committee will receive a total of $9,000 for encouraging sustainability in the region.

The May 10th event will celebrate those recipients from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nobska Light. Volunteers are needed to spend the morning helping with the beautification and preservation measures at the historic site.
