FALL RIVER – Catholic Social Service of the Fall River Diocese has picked its next executive director.
Susan Mazzarella, of Riverside, Rhode Island will replace retiring Arlene McNamee on July 10.
Mazzarella is a licensed social worker with a 30-year career in human services with positions ranging from clinician to senior manager.
“She comes well prepared to lead CSS with a resume indicative not only of extensive experience and skills from a variety of positions in social services, but also of a deep personal commitment to serving and helping those in need,” said Bishop Edgar da Cunha.
The organization provides social and human services in the southeast region of the state. CSS sponsors over 30 programs with an aim to improve quality of life for the poor and those in need.
McNamee has led the agency for the last 23 years.
