CHATHAM – The town of Chatham will ask residents to fund the town’s official response to the Monomoy Wildlife Refuge Draft Management Plan.
Voters will be asked for $300,000 in funding at Special Town Meeting on Monday, September 15th.
The proposal calls for the town to cede control of over 700 acres of South Beach to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; the town opposes that plan.
Chatham has hired three consultants to work on the town’s official response to the proposal.
