FALMOUTH – Falmouth will host former first daughter Chelsea Clinton on Thursday, July 27.

Clinton is appearing at Eight Cousins Books on Main Street to promote her recently published children’s book “She Persisted: 13 American Women Who Changed the World”.

“It is a lovely book, it’s a picture book and it has illustrations of children and adults, women and girls throughout American history and an inspiring message that they persisted and so should you,” said bookstore co-owner Sara Hines.

Clinton is scheduled to arrive at the book store at 10:30 a.m.

She is expected to sign books and organizers do not expect her to be speaking at the event.

Those who wish to attend will have to have a ticket to get in line, in the form of one of Clinton’s children’s books that had been purchased from Eight Cousins.

One book and wristband will admit up to four people in line for the book-signing.

Although Hines expects a lot of people to attend the event, she said that there’s no need to arrive too early.

“We expect it to go very fast, we expect everybody to have a good time, we want it to be fun for everybody,” said Hines.

“She Persisted” and Clinton’s previous book, “It’s Your World”, are available at the Eight Cousins bookstore or at eightcousins.com.
