Congressman Keating Says Strike Against Syria was “Necessary and Proportional”

HYANNIS – Congressman Bill Keating is saying that the United States’ missile strike against Syria on Thursday night was “necessary and proportional”.

Keating is the Ranking Member of the Terrorism, Nonproliferation and Trade Subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a senior member of the House Homeland Security Committee.

Keating added that “we must continue to work with our international partners towards a final, peaceful resolution” and that “moving forward, Congress also has a Constitutional role and that role should be exercised”.
