SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Three federal appeals court judges, appointed by Democratic and Republican presidents, have ruled unanimously not to lift the suspension of President Donald Trump’s ban on travelers from seven predominantly Muslim nations.
The judges ruled that the argument that the ban targets Muslims raised “serious allegations” and “significant constitutional questions.”
President Donald Trump called the decision “political.”
The ban was challenged by the state of Washington and Minnesota, which argued that residents, companies and universities were being harmed.
