Crash Shuts Down Rte 6 in Wellfleet

WELLFLEET – A two-vehicle crash on Route 6 in Wellfleet resulted in the highway being shut down for about an hour earlier this afternoon.

The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. and the road was closed in both directions until about 3:30, according to a Wellfleet dispatcher.

At least one person was transported to the hospital, according to the dispatcher.

One lane of traffic was open by 4 p.m. but traffic was still signicantly backed up, according to the dispatcher.
