Davenport Foundation Offers $20K Challenge Grant to Cape Cod Theatre Company

SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Davenport Arts Foundation is offering a challenge grant to the Cape Cod Theatre Company – Home of the Harwich Jr. Theatre up to $20,000.

The grant will match donations made to the theater organization from new donors, grants and fundraisers through the end of June.

The Cape Cod Theatre Company, which is entering its 66th year, works with students of all ages and backgrounds to expand their creative talents.

The Davenport Foundation awards scholarships to students and helps provide funding for county nonprofits with a commitment to visual and performing arts.

“The Davenport Foundation’s challenge grant is a wonderful opportunity for those who have asked how they can help preserve the future of this iconic theatre to join together in strong and meaningful support,” said Delane Moser, the board chair of the Cape Cod Theatre Company. “Together with the Board’s new policies and rigorous financial governance measures, the Foundation’s generous challenge – and the community’s response to it – will go a long way to helping the theatre weather a difficult financial situation and better position the organization to continue to serve the Cape community for the long term.”
