Downed Limb Causes Power Outage in Hyannis

lightbulbsHYANNIS – A fallen tree limb knocked out power to more than 1,000 customers yesterday in Hyannis.

“The tree limb came in contact with some of our equipment just before 4:00 yesterday afternoon in the West Main Street area,” according to Rhiannon D’Angelo, senior media specialist with NSTAR.

About 1,200 NSTAR customers were left without power  while crews made repairs, according to D’Angelo.

The majority of customers had their power restored in about two hours, D’Angelo said.
