FALMOUTH – Falmouth Selectmen recently praised the work of Town Manager Julian Suso over the last fiscal year but are asking him to create more of a team atmosphere among department heads.
Selectmen presented their annual review of the Town Manager last month.
“The overall assessment was generally quite positive with the greatest accolades in the areas of professionalism and integrity, job skills and knowledge, the quality of his written and oral communication and his prudent fiscal management,” said Selectman chair Doug Jones.
Jones also noted an area that could use improvement.
“One area of future growth is developing a stronger feeling of team among the department heads,” Jones said.
The board said Suso completed most of the goals set for the previous year including the creation of the town’s new website, the launch of a consolidated dispatch center, bonding upgrades and managing department head transitions.
Goals for the next fiscal year are also being set and include implementing an employee performance review process, create a community development group and developing a master town facilities plan.
