FOXBORO – Tom Brady’s missing Super Bowl jersey will be returned to its rightful owner after the FBI tracked down the uniform on foreign soil.

But the missing jersey from last month’s historic Super Bowl LI comeback wasn’t the only item of Brady’s recovered by the FBI. authorities have also found Brady’s Super Bowl XLIX game shirt, which went missing in the locker room after that game in 2015.

In a statement issued Monday morning, the NFL confirmed that both jerseys were found with a “credentialed international media member”

“Through the cooperation of the NFL and New England Patriots’ security teams, the FBI and other law enforcement authorities, the Super Bowl LI jersey worn last month by MVP Tom Brady has been recovered. Also retrieved during the ongoing investigation was the jersey Brady wore in the Patriots’ victory in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks in 2015. The items were found in the possession of a credentialed member of the international media.”

Houston police chief Art Acevado tweeted that his department helped tracked Brady’s jerseys to Mexico, where Mexican authorities assisted the FBI in the investigation.
