SANDWICH – A local father who lost his son to an opiate overdose and has another struggling with addiction is organizing a meeting tomorrow to organize an effort to help fight the Cape’s drug epidemic.
Marstons Mills resident Tom Fagan is holding a forum tomorrow night at 6:30 at Sandwich Library, and is inviting residents and legislators alike to join.
He said confronting the Cape’s drug problem is deeply personal to him.
“I have another son, a younger son, that I want to keep alive,” said Fagan, “I want to make sure that there’s more treatment available for addicts that deserve it.”
Fagan said the goal of the meeting is to organize a group to try and improve the accessibility and quality of addiction treatment.
