EASTHAM – A fundraiser will be held Saturday to benefit a scholarship fund for graduates of Nauset Regional High School.

The fund is named after Nauset graduate Logan Dunne who died in 2013 at the age of 20 after battling cancer for five years.

The “Launch for Logan” coffee event, which will include a silent auction, will be held at the Beanstock Coffee roasting facility on Holmes Road in Eastham from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Logan Dunne Memorial Scholarship Fund gives preference to students who have overcome a serious challenge, demonstrated compassion or community service or are interested in pursuing degrees in the fields of math, science, psychology or engineering.

Donations will be accepted at the event and the silent auction will feature items and gift certificates donated by local businesses.

Local students have received $14,000 in scholarships since the fund started in 2013.

Donations to the scholarship fund can also be made through the Cape Cod Foundation at www.capecodfoudnation.org by referencing the Logan Dunne Memorial Scholarship Fund.
