BARNSTABLE – Massachusetts drivers are seeing the cheapest gas prices in five years, but Cape Codders are still paying well above the state average at the pump.
Gas fell another 11 cents last week to $2.46 a gallon, but the average price in Barnstable sits at $2.65, according to the Automobile Association of America.
Gas is 84 cents cheaper than a year ago on the Cape, and 41 cents lower than a month ago.
