Great White Shark Detected in Cape Cod Bay

BARNSTABLE – A  shark that was first tagged a couple of years ago off Cape Cod is back in local waters.

According to OCEARCH, the shark named Cisco was detected on Wednesday just off the coast of Barnstable in Cape Cod Bay.

Later in the day, the shark pinged a detector just south of Wellfleet Harbor. By late Wednesday night, it was swimming off the coast of New Hampshire.

OCEARCH is a privately-funded research organization that has been tracking white sharks along the East Coast for several years.
