Heroin Overdose in Hyannis Monday Night

HYANNIS – Barnstable police and fire staff responded to an apparent heroin overdose last night in front of Bobby Byrnes restaurant in Hyannis.

At about 8:30 p.m., a 25-year-old man from West Barnstable, a passenger in a car, allegedly admitted to police he had recently used the drug and was suffering from overdose symptoms, Barnstable Police Sergeant Mark Cabral.

He was taken to Cape Cod Hospital.
