Historic Chatham House Damaged in Fire

fireCHATHAM – An antique home in Chatham caught on fire yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters responded around noon to the home on Orleans Road and were able to knock down the blaze in about a half hour.

The cause of the fire was electrical and the house sustained smoke damage.

Nobody was injured and portions of the home remain habitable.

Orleans Road in Chatham was closed for about an hour yesterday as firefighters battled the fire.
