BARNSTABLE – A bill backed by State Representative Brian Mannal that would prohibit non-licensed massage providers from advertising online was passed by the House of Representatives on Beacon Hill.
The passage came in the same month that Barnstable police raided four businesses that they believed were fronts for prostitution and/or human trafficking. No arrests were made but the businesses were shuttered for licensing violations.
Mannal said he expects the bill to make it to the governor’s office for a signature.
