HYANNIS – Leadership from Housing Assistance Corporation attended the statehouse earlier this month as part of the Regional Housing Network of Massachusetts’ legislative briefing on the state of housing challenges in the Commonwealth.
The annual briefing provides the nine members of the Regional Housing Network, including HAC, and other parties to update lawmakers on housing priorities.
This year, HAC’s new CEO Alisa Galazzi took part in the briefing with sever of her staff, and met with Representatives Will Crocker (R-Centerville) and Dylan Fernandes (D-Woods Hole), as well as State Senator Julian Cyr (D-Truro).
She strongly advised the leaders to continue to support the Residential Assistance for Families in Transition and HomeBASE programs.
HAC provided over 3,700 people with financial literacy workshops, reverse mortgage counseling, housing search and other services in 2016.
