HYANNIS – Officials with the Hyannis Fire District are preparing another vote on a new proposal for a new fire station.
The previous plan was voted down by residents over cost concerns.
Chief Harold Brunelle says he hopes this plan is more agreeable to voters.
Brunelle says the proposed facility would cost a little under $17 million, after the sale of two properties in the district’s control. They’re hoping to schedule a vote on the matter in early July.
A previous $19 million proposal was rejected by voters earlier this spring.
