Inspector General Weighs in on Cape Light Compact

lightbulbsBARNSTABLE – The state’s Inspector General has now weighed in on the ongoing dispute between Cape Light Compact and the Massachusetts Attorney General.

Cape Light Compact’s revised Aggregation Plan is getting scrutinized by state officials after complaints about the relationship between Cape Light Compact and xx.

The state Department of Public Utilities is reviewing the plan.

Lindsay Henderson, Communications and Energy Efficiency Data Analyst for Cape Light Compact, said, the Inspector General sent a letter about the review on December 8 supporting the Attorney General’s office in their “quest to expand the scope of the proceeding by introducing information that is not part of the scope and that the Department should delay approving the revised aggregation plan until all concerns about Cape Light Compact have been addressed.”

Henderson said the information that the Attorney General’s office requested was provided to them in September. “It is also worth noting that Cape Light Compact has provided the Office of the Inspector General with over 8,000 pages of documents regarding our operations over 2 ½ years ago, and have not heard any findings or concerns from their office,” she stated.
