SANDWICH – A Barnstable Superior Court judge ruled against neighbors seeking to stop the construction of the zipline at Heritage Museums and Gardens.
Neighbors had filed an injunction request to seek a temporary halt of the work, arguing that the ziplines are visible from the roadway.
Judy Stainbrook was one of the neighbors who filed the injunction.
“It is wrong. It is visible. It is highly visible,” Stainbrook said. “All of this talk about it not being seen from the street is just false.”
Neighbors say the zipline will bring unwanted noise and congestion to the neighborhood, and argue that the project will present a safety issue on the roads around heritage.
