Local Communities Awarded Seaport Grants

FALL RIVER – The Baker-Polito Administration’s Seaport Economic Council has awarded grant funding to three local towns to improve public infrastructure and promote maritime economic development.

Falmouth received $500,000 on a partnership with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution to redevelop Iselin Dock.

More than $400,000 will go towards repairs at the Plymouth Town Wharf and $680,000 will be used to overhaul Tisbury’s Lake Tashmoo landing.

In all, $5 million in grants were awarded to 13 communities.
