Local Diocese Heads into Final Stretch of Annual Fundraiser

FALL RIVER – The 2017 Fall River Diocese Catholic Charities Appeal has entered the homestretch.

With the June 28th conclusion on the horizon, Appeal officials are asking those who have not yet made their donation to do so before the deadline.

So far, more than $3.5 million has been raised for the Appeal with all proceeds supporting the Diocese’s charitable programs, ministries and agencies.

Last year’s appeal raised over $4.6 million.

“The work of the parishes in soliciting parishioners and businesses in the local community for the poor and those in need in our area is the heart of the Appeal,” said Jim Campbell, director of Development for the Diocese.

The progress of this year’s appeal can be tracked online at frdioc-catholiccharities.org.
