NANTUCKET – A new series will take a historic look back at Nantucket Cottage Hospital later this month.

The Nantucket Historical Association has collaborated with the hospital to present “A Night of Stories: Tales from Cottage Hospital Nurses” on Tuesday, June 27 at 6 p.m. at the Whaling Museum.

The event will feature some of Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s longtime nurses, both retirees and current staff, who will share heartwarming, hilarious and eccentric stories.

The panel of nurses includes Janet Coffin, Brenda Johnson, Jill Johnson, Suzanne Sullivan and Charlene Thurston. The event will be moderated by the hospital’s public information officer Jason Graziadei.

Graziadei said the hospital’s history is filled with compelling stories and characters and the nursing staff has a unique perspective on the tales and how care is delivered at the remote community hospital.

Admission to “A Night of Stories” is free, but reservations are strongly recommended.
